   Bamboo Temple trip near Kunming
Bamboo Temple trip near Kunming

The nearby Bamboo Temple makes for a great daytrip. Built in the Tang dynasty, the temple was burned down and rebuilt in the 15th century and later restored in 1883, 1958 and 1981. The temple's bamboo trees was actually recently transplanted in from Chengdu. Located at the top of a hill, we hired a vehicle up and made our own way down.
