Lijiang

The old town of Lijiang with its quiet maze of brick walkways and water canals is home to the Naxi minority people. This must see village is a combination of old town and Disneyland-like tourists (both Chinese and foreigners). In fact it is said to be the number one tourist place in China. Central old town Lijiang is mostly gift shops and wonderful restaurants. Moving away from the tourist zone is where the Naxi people live. With so many good eateries and a great nightlife, Lijiang is a great place to relax and socialize.
